Finding journal articles by topic: Click on the DATABASES tab above for a full list of suggested resources for chemistry articles. Each of these databases allows author, title, subject, and keyword searching to find articles on your topic. SciFinder Scholar is a prominent database for finding chemistry information.
Finding full-text e-journals by title or keyword: Use the ELECTRONIC JOURNALS link on the library home page (libraries.luc.edu). You may browse alphabetically and search for Electronic Journals by keyword.
Finding full-text e-journals by subject: Navigate to the "Browse e-journals by subject" heading and use the drop down menu to choose PHYSICAL SCIENCES AND MATHEMATICS. Under this heading you will find various branches of chemistry, with the number of journal titles available in each branch. Clicking on any of these links will bring up a list of full text journal titles.
Finding print journal titles: If a title is not available electronically, please check the library's online catalog (or WorldCat Local for everything Loyola doesn't own). Both catalogs will verify the availability of the title, indicate the location, and provide a call number.
To find books: Use the library online catalog to find books by title, author, subject, or keyword.
For a known title or author use the basic search screen - the default screen. The Advanced Search will let you discover what books the library has on your topic.
You can find the search on our homepage - libraries.luc.edu.
