This guide contains a number of resources and links to help those who are not as familiar with computers to better work with a computer, and to help familiarize themselves with some common resources and programs

Search Engines

A Search Engine is a "program that searches documents for specified keywords and returns a list of the documents where the keywords were found."  (Webopedia)

Some of the more popular search engines are:

-Bing
-AltaVista
-Ask

A useful search engine for academic resources is Google Scholar.

Using a Web Browser

A Web Browser is "a software application used to locate and display Web pages. " (Webopedia)
