Loyola University has licensed EndNote for all current students, faculty, and staff with valid UVIDs.
To download on a Loyola machine, go to the Software Center and locate EndNote. These instructions are for an LUC-owned PC desktop.
Download the application and open it. There are two options to start.
If you have an existing account with EndNoteWeb, click "Open an existing library".
New users will click "Create a new library".
Save the library to a folder on your computer.
EndNote has been installed.
To connect to an existing library on EndNoteWeb, click on Library and choose Sync.

To download on a personal device, go to the ITS EndNote Support page. Scroll down to the install instructions for "Non-Standard Loyola Computers / Personal Devices" and choose the appropriate operating system for the download. These instructions are for a MacBook personal device.
You will be asked to enter your UVID.
On the next screen, you may see something like this, confirming that you wan to download EndNote. Click Download to begin the process.
The next several dialogue boxes will go through the download process. Click on the EN icon to begin the download.
Next, click on OK to confirm the install.
Click Install to begin installation.
Click Next to continue the process.
When the installation is complete, click Done.
Open the application on your device and choose New Library.
EndNote has been installed.
To connect to an existing library on EndNoteWeb, click on Library and choose Sync.
Enter your EndNote/EndNoteWeb login information to sync accounts.
