This style is documented in Kate L. Turabian’s Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations. Now in the 9th edition, it presents two basic documentation systems, notes-bibliography style (or simply notes style) and author-date. These styles are essentially the same as those presented in The Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition, with slight modifications for the needs of student writers. This style is designed for college students and business researchers.
