CRL holds over four million newspapers, journals, dissertations, archives, government publications and other traditional and digital resources for research and teaching.
The Loyola University Libraries are institutional members of CRL. All Loyola students, faculty, and staff can request CRL materials via Interlibrary Loan. Materials arrive quickly and may be kept for extended periods as needed.
The Newberry Library is an independent research library concentrating in the humanities with an active presence in Chicago. Free and open to the public, it houses an extensive collection of rare books, maps, music, manuscripts, and other printed material.
