During the migration from Selected Works to Pure4EGS, every attempt has been made to preserve your data. But, you may find errors in your profile. Here are some common ones and the steps you can take to resolve them.
Fixing Start Dates
1. Faculty start dates were not previously captured in SelectedWorks, so during the migration to Pure4EGS, they have been set to a default date of 01/01/2024. This date isn’t public, but it can be changed if you would like to do so.
2. Choose the appropriate date under the ‘Start Date at Institution’ tab and click on save to update the information.
Note: this does not update the start date listed under the department (in the above example, “School of Education”). Once you have entered a
different start date under 'Start Date at Institution,' digital services staff will update the start date listed under the department.
Fixing Department Information
To fix information about your associated department, please reach out to the digital services staff at ecommons[at]luc.edu.
Fixing Journal Contribution Information
1. To see all your research output, click on the 'Personal' dropdown, and choose the 'My research output' option.
2. Once you click on it you will be able to see all your works displayed.
3. You can click on any of the research works to see their metadata to edit. For the sake of this example, I want to change the metadata of one of the works to show that it was peer reviewed. In the screenshot below, I selected the peer reviewed option. Once you make your desired changes you can click on save, and your profile will reflect the changes.
4. You can also make other changes to metadata, such as abstract, DOI links, journal information, etc., by following the steps detailed above.
Fixing Duplicated Contribution Information
1. If there are any duplicated content amongst your research contributions, the 'Duplicate Title' tab will show the duplicated content. you can either choose to merge or make the content distinct by updating the metadata.
