Ask Good Research Questions

Good research starts with good questions. Begin by turning your thoughts into open-ended questions: Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How.

Try using question starters like:

  • Why does this issue exist?

  • How does this issue affect me or my peers?

  • What are people doing to fix this problem?

  • Who has the power to make a difference?

  • What are possible solutions?
