- National Catholic Education AssociationNCEA is a professional membership organization that provides leadership, direction and service to fulfill the evangelizing, catechizing and teaching mission of the Church.
- National Council for the Social StudiesFounded in 1921, the NCSS is the largest association devoted to social studies education, and produces the publication Expectations of Excellence: Curriculum Standards for Social Studies, which provides a K-12 social studies program guideline for educators.

- U.S. Department of EducationThe U.S. Department of Education website posts about a host of topics related to education, including government press releases, editorial blogs, and media advisories. Also included is a section of the website devoted solely to teachers and teaching.
