Guide to Creating Research Posters

What is a research poster?
A visual communication tool widely used in academia and at conferences that allows you to present your research concisely and attractively to publicize and generate discussion. Research posters provide a wonderful opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students and faculty to share their research and invite feedback.

How to Begin

Ask yourself three questions.

  1. What is the most important/interesting/astounding finding from my research project?
  2. How can I visually share my research? Should I use charts, graphs, photos, images?
  3. What kind of information can I convey during my talk that will complement my poster?
