We currently utilize HP DesignJet 42-inch plotter printers. These wide-format printers use HP Heavy Coated Paper rolls (42 inch wide by 150 inch high) and handle print jobs of 2400 x 1200 dpi in full color using 6 ink cartridges. Posters will be printed with one dimension at 42 inches as is the size of the width of the paper, larger format paper cutters are provided in our digital media labs for those who wish to crop white space further.
Poster Printing Policies
Posters afford students the ability to share presentation materials without relying on technologies affording a dynamic presentation such as in-class presentations or mounted displays in research conferences and symposiums.
Creating Posters
There are many applications that can be used to create posters. Due to its simplicity, the one that we recommend is Microsoft PowerPoint, but PowerPoint has a size limit of 56”. If you’d like to make a longer Poster we’ve included instructions in Adobe Illustrator as well.
Poster Submission Form
Complete submissions with properly formatted files will be processed within 72 hours from when they are received. Posters will be printed with one dimension at 42 inches, larger format paper cutters are provided in our digital media labs for those who wish to crop white space further.
