The field of teaching and learning recognizes that there is value in conducting empirical research on teaching and learning theory and teaching practice. The aim of this research is to better understand how students learn, determine impactful ways instructors can facilitate that learning, and examine the nexus of theory and practice. We have broken this section down into sub-categories to focus on certain aspects of teaching and learning, and to provide some examples in those sub-categories.
