Individual Research Consultations

At any point during the research process, librarians can respond to questions via email, or schedule research consultations with students in person and via Zoom. Consult with a subject specialist librarian for help with finding, evaluating, and using resources related to your research topic.

Ask A Librarian Chat Service

The University Libraries also provides a 24 hour online chat service for immediate library and research support. This service is operated by Loyola Libraries staff during the following times:

  • Monday - Thursday: 9 AM - 10 PM
  • Friday: 9 AM - 5 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM - 6 PM
  • Sunday: Noon - 10 PM

Online chat for all other hours is covered by library staff at partner institutions. These librarians will be able to provide research support and help you access our online resources, but may not be familiar with questions that are specific to our library or university. Our partner librarians may submit your question for follow-up by one of our Loyola librarians.
